Built on Hard Work, Family, and Trust.

Fuller Landscape Construction was founded in 2002 by owner Rick McCartney, at a time when he was living on Fuller Street with his wife and two young children. After years of working for another landscape company, Rick made the decision to build something of his own—not just a business, but a reputation rooted in quality work, integrity, and reliability.

What began with one truck and a shovel quickly grew into a trusted landscape construction company serving Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area. From the beginning, the focus was never on quick jobs or cutting corners, but on doing honest work and standing behind it.

The Fuller Difference

What sets Fuller Landscape Construction apart is experience, consistency, and care.

  • Established in 2002.

  • Over 30 years of hands-on experience.

  • Built on referrals and repeat clients.

  • Family-owned and operated.

  • Committed to mentoring and community.

Every project is approached with the same mindset it started with: work hard, do it right, and stand behind it.

Today, Fuller Landscape Construction continues to serve homeowners across Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, and surrounding areas. While tools and equipment have grown since the early days, the values remain unchanged.

Honest work. Strong relationships. Quality that lasts.

  • Family has always been at the heart of Fuller Landscape Construction. Rick built the company while raising his children, and those same family values continue to guide how the business operates today—showing up on time, doing what you say you will, and treating people with respect.

The name Fuller isn’t just a brand. It represents accountability, pride in workmanship, and long-term relationships built over decades.

  • For over 30 years, Fuller Landscape Construction has grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals. A website and socials were created in 2026 (after 20+ years of operation!) because they weren’t necessary for Fuller’s success. Clients return because they trust the work—and they recommend Rick because they know the job will be done right.

That trust has been earned one project at a time, through consistent quality, clear communication, and a hands-on approach to every build.

  • Rick has always believed in giving people a chance. Over the years, Fuller Landscape Construction has employed and mentored young adults looking for honest work, helping them build skills, confidence, and a strong work ethic.

Many employees learned the trade under Rick’s guidance—not just how to build landscapes, but how to show up responsibly, take pride in their work, and grow personally and professionally.

  • Anyone who worked with Fuller Landscape Construction knows Piper.

Piper was Rick’s loyal companion, walking with him to the shop every morning and spending her days around the yard, the truck, the machines, and the crew. She was known and loved by employees and became part of the company’s daily rhythm—often seen riding in the Tonka truck, a moment that still brings smiles to those who remember her.

Piper passed away in 2023, but she remains a cherished part of Fuller’s story and spirit—a reminder that this company has always been about more than just work.
